Fernor Walnut Sapling

Fernor is a cold-resistant French walnut tree variety.
It is productive and leaves late. It is a hybrid of Franquette x Lara.
Fernor can be planted in cold regions and can be planted up to 1800 meters above sea level.
Fernor is an early-growing variety, meaning it starts producing walnuts 3 or 4 years after you plant the tree.
When mature, it can yield up to 8 tons of walnuts per decare. Fernor produces thin-shelled hazelnuts.
The seeds are delicious and light colored grains. Walnuts with a lighter inner color are sold at higher prices.
The seeds are easily removed from the shell and easily split in half. Fernor grows semi-erectly.
Fernor is suitable for high density plantings such as 6 x 5 meters spacing. Fernor’s pollinator is Fernette.
We recommend planting 1 Fernette tree for every 10 Fernor trees.
